Cross Categorical Teacher

Job Description

• Work with students to meet their educational and behavioral needs.
• Works directly with the general education teachers and support staff to provide services.
• Support student education goals, develop lesson plans that support classroom content standards in a resource setting while making good educational decisions for students.

• A successful candidate will be self motivated, quick thinking, and compassionate and understand the needs of students.
• Create and implement Individualized Learning Plans, facilitate Annual Case Reviews and the ability to communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
• Must be organized and flexible.
• Special Education licensure is preferred.

• Works well with others and a team player.
• Understands high school classroom requirements.
• Experience working with children with diverse needs.
• Upon offer, applicant must complete and clear a drug screen and expanded criminal history background check for school personnel as required by Indiana state law.
