Pork Processing Plant Supervisor

This role oversees all functional areas of a pork processing plant. Responsibilities include efficient operation of three production shifts, maintenance, personnel, safety, shipping, receiving, sanitation, scheduling, quality, and process improvement. This is a supervisory role and you will manage multiple groups of personnel across departments performing diverse tasks.

• Motivate managers to provide guidance and programs that enhance employee skill levels.
• Resolve issues related to the quality of incoming and outgoing goods.
• Review cost and performance data to identify areas needing improvement.
• Facilitate Talent Mapping and Succession Planning Programs while supporting the Retention Program.
• Ensure food safety, food quality, and legality.
• Initiate discussions and implementation of improvements in all phases of production.
• Assist in identifying, evaluating, and correcting problems.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a general professional or technical field.
• Experience:
  
  8+ years of progressive experience; food processing or meat industry preferred.
• Computer
  
  Skills:
  
  General knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); working knowledge of SAP systems preferred.
