Position Summary
The Renewables/Ethanol Production Worker role supports key areas of ethanol production, including cook, distillation, energy center, and DCS operations, while assisting with corn grinding, fermentation, distillation, evaporation, dryer, and boiler processes. Responsibilities include monitoring Renewables production processes, adjusting equipment or inputs as directed, and performing product sampling, lab testing, and documentation. The position also involves maintaining accurate production records, operating mobile equipment, and completing general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and cleaning to support safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform processing functions in the cook, distillation, energy center and/or DCS areas of ethanol production with assistance.
- Perform activities related to processing functions such as corn grinding and cook operations, yeast and fermentation quality control, yeast, distillation, evaporation, dryer and boiler operations.
- Monitor production processes and adjust equipment settings or raw material inputs as directed to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Perform general product sampling, lab testing, document results, and report findings to crew leadership and/or laboratory personnel.
- Maintain documentation and record key production data as directed.
- Operate various types of mobile equipment.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks.
- Has basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process.
- Works within clearly defined standard operation procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- 0-2 years’ relevant experience required.
- Basic computer operation and data entry skills.
- Ability to operate mobile equipment and/or a valid driver’s license preferred.
- Previous production experience preferred.
- Work is performed in a 24x7 ethanol production facility.
- Production team works 12-hour shifts; two small crews scheduled per day, including a day and night shift.
- Work schedule includes weekend and holiday work. Shift assignment will be consistent. Must be flexible to work either day or night shift based on business needs. Night shift assignment receives a night shift differential.
- This position involves frequent exposure to adverse weather conditions, dust, fumes, noise, and potentially hazardous material.
- Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
