IT MES Specialist

Location:

Logansport, IN. Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year. We are hiring an IT MES Specialist who will initially improve the existing MES and eventually transition to implementing a new system. This position offers a clear path to IT leadership.

• Configure, maintain, and customize the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to support evolving production requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues affecting MES functionality and shop floor operations.
• Set up and maintain product routing within the MES environment.
• Ensure accurate data collection and analysis to track performance metrics and identify operational trends.
• Monitor system performance, security, and stability; perform routine maintenance and apply patches/updates.
• Collaborate with IT and Production teams to integrate MES with external equipment, PLCs, SCADA systems, and enterprise systems.
• Create and maintain thorough documentation of system designs, configurations, and procedures.
• Lead IT projects from conception through completion, including planning, execution, and post‑project documentation.
• Bonus: fluency in Mandarin is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is required.
• Knowledge of database systems (Oracle, Firebird, MySQL, Maria
  
  DB, Postgre
  
  SQL) and SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with C# or a comparable object‑oriented programming language.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to proactively identify and communicate concerns.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and track multiple concurrent projects to completion.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in an MES, IT, or manufacturing systems role.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
