Nurse Practitioner (Neurology) - Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Alcovy Neurology is an established, physician-owned private neurology practice committed to providing exceptional neurological care through clinical excellence, compassion, and innovation. Our services include general neurology, headache medicine, movement disorders, dementia care, infusion therapies, Botox, EEG, EMG, and emerging neurological treatments.

We are seeking a motivated, compassionate Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about providing outstanding patient care and thrives in a collaborative team environment.

Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive neurological care under the supervision of a board-certified neurologist. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, diagnosing and managing neurological conditions, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, developing treatment plans, and educating patients and caregivers.

Fluency in both English and Spanish is required. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and staff without the use of an interpreter.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and manage new and established neurology patients
  • Diagnose and treat a wide variety of neurological disorders
  • Order and interpret laboratory studies, imaging, and diagnostic testing
  • Prescribe medications and develop evidence-based treatment plans
  • Perform approved in-office procedures (training provided as appropriate)
  • Participate in infusion therapy management, including biologic therapies
  • Coordinate care with referring physicians and specialists
  • Complete accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation
  • Educate patients and caregivers regarding diagnoses and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure exceptional patient care

Required Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted Georgia APRN license.
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), or equivalent.
  • Current DEA registration and BLS certification.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Minimum of 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience (neurology experience preferred).
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR);
    Athenahealth experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and the healthcare team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care with exceptional professionalism and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in neurology, headache medicine, or movement disorders.
  • Experience with infusion therapies and biologic medications.
  • Experience performing in-office procedures such as Botox injections or nerve blocks (training available for the right candidate).
  • Knowledge of CMS documentation requirements and quality initiatives.
