Technicien Chargé D'essais Physicochimiques F/H

You will join the laboratory of the Materials and Processes service, a center of expertise in mechanical engineering at MBDA France.

You will conduct physicochemical tests on organic materials in the context of R&D, development, qualification, and expertise.

This position will allow you to have numerous interactions with teams from the Materials and Processes service, designers, industrial methods and mechanical production teams, as well as with procurement and suppliers of products or materials.

In the context of R&D, developments, or expertise, you will be responsible for conducting physicochemical tests on organic materials (resins, mastics, adhesives, composites, thermoplastics, elastomers, greases…).

You will also conduct tests on the resistance to contaminant fluids and aging of materials in the context of material qualification for missile developments or obsolescence treatment.

Thanks to your skills, with the support of specialists/experts from the service and under the responsibility of the laboratory manager, you will:

• Conduct physicochemical tests (DSC, ATG, ATG/GC-MS, FTIR, DMA, TMA, and rheology)
• Conduct tests on the aging of materials and resistance to contaminant fluids
• Interpret results and write minutes and technical reports
• Respond to service requests in compliance with costs and deadlines

More broadly, you will participate in the continuous improvement of the Materials and Processes service within the physicochemical tests perimeter:

• Participation in the laboratory investment plan
• Writing investment dossiers for new equipment
• Installation of new laboratory equipment
• Monitoring the metrology of equipment maintenance within its perimeter
• Proposals and implementation of technical or organizational innovations within the laboratory
• Writing procedures for implementing the means

You are an experienced technician with a BAC+2/BAC+3 in Sciences and Material Engineering or in physical measurements with a Materials option.

You have expertise in laboratory physicochemical tests and solid knowledge of material chemistry.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar laboratory position is desirable.

Given the international environment of our company, a technical level of English is a plus.
