Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in The Hong Kong Jockey Club Global Health Institute (HKJCGHI), the School of Public Health (.: 537340), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in biological/medical sciences or related disciplines, with post-doctoral research experience in virology, microbiology and/or immunology.
Applicants should have substantial experience in both flow cytometry and the measurement of neutralising antibody responses following infection or vaccination.
They should also have a strong quantitative and qualitative background, a proven track record of research, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The appointee will lead studies on immunological responses triggered by vaccination and viral infection.
He/she will take a leading role in overseeing research projects and supervising junior research staff.
