Job Summary

Responsible for general accounting duties and projects.

• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts and balance sheet accounts by verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and completion of financial data.
• Reconcile all bank account balances with monthly bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare and record monthly journal entries in an accurate and timely manner with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Responsible for monthly tracking and yearly reporting requirements for government FISAP & financial audit.
• Support internal team in month-end and year-end close process.
• Assist in preparing deliverables for auditors during interim and year-end audit.
• Liaison for all student club accounting.
• Support Research Department with all accounting and reporting functions necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an accounting emphasis.
• Minimum of 2 years of financial accounting experience.
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year end close procedures.
• Knowledge of major accounting software packages for general ledger accounting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including lookups and pivot tables.

• Experience in not-for-profit and/or higher education environment.
• Experience with Microsoft GP Dynamics.
