Staff Accountant

Overview

Here at LHH, we are partnering with a well-established and growing organization seeking an Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys reconciliation work, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants exposure to a variety of accounting functions.

• Prepare and reconcile a high volume of cash and bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Maintain detailed reconciliations for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Collaborate with Payroll, AP, Treasury, and operational finance teams to investigate and resolve reconciling items.
• Prepare journal entries and support monthly financial close activities.
• Partner with Treasury to ensure cash transactions are recorded accurately and in the proper accounting period.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests, including documentation and support for financial statement audits.
• Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.

• Accounting degree and one year of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong account reconciliation experience, preferably involving cash, AR, AP, and balance sheet accounts.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
• 1 - 2 years' experience in accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
