Construction Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for commercial and ground-up construction projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating subcontractors (including masonry trades), managing schedules and budgets, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within scope. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of construction methods, and excellent communication with project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing daily field operations for ground-up and commercial construction projects, ensuring work progresses on schedule and within budget.
• Supervising, coordinating and evaluating subcontractors and trades, with particular oversight of masonry operations and related quality control.
• Interpreting construction drawings, specifications and contract documents; implementing construction sequencing and logistics plans.
• Developing, maintaining and communicating project schedules; proactively identifying and mitigating schedule risks and bottlenecks.
• Enforcing site safety and quality standards; conducting toolbox talks, inspections and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company policies.
• Managing procurement and on-site delivery of materials, equipment and labor; coordinating with vendors and procurement teams to avoid delays.
• Preparing and maintaining daily reports, as-built documentation, RFIs, submittals and site meeting minutes; communicating progress to Project Managers and owners.
• Coordinating inspections, permit requirements and third-party testing to ensure timely approvals and compliance.
• Resolving field issues, providing technical guidance to crews and subcontractors, and implementing corrective actions to maintain project momentum.
• Mentoring and developing on-site personnel, promoting teamwork and a solutions-focused culture.

Qualifications include:

• 7+ years of hands-on construction experience with a minimum of 3+ years in a superintendent or lead field role.
• Demonstrated experience in ground-up construction and commercial construction project delivery.
• Practical experience and familiarity with masonry trades, methods and quality expectations.
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, inspection processes and safety regulations (OSHA).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications; able to produce and manage RFIs and submittals.
• Proven ability to develop and manage schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project, Procore or similar construction management software.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation; clean driving record.
• Certifications such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or a degree/certificate in Construction Management or a related field are preferred.
