Construction Superintendent

The Superintendent is responsible for supervising the day‑to‑day activities and workforce specific to each project or job site while maintaining a culture of safety and ensuring project deliverables are met. They must have effective communication skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to demonstrate and correct key performance skills. The role involves close collaboration with project staff, leadership, engineers and subcontractors to define project needs and oversee the construction crew’s performance.

• Manage new building construction and remodel projects assigned per the Construction Director/Leadership.
• Provide daily job‑site audits for safety and institute corrective actions as required.
• Read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
• Set up and maintain an organized, professional job‑site office.
• Maintain project files, prepare daily activity reports, and take progress photos.
• Identify critical‑path issues and address them in a timely manner to keep the project on schedule.
• Identify efficient means and methods, proactively schedule work, and assist with coordination of subcontractors.
• Help plan and maintain job‑site logistics, security, and safety.
• Manage and coordinate deliveries, inspections, and team members to meet the project schedule.
• Oversee and verify layouts and MEP coordination.
• Enforce job‑site safety.
• Maintain workforce badge system.
• Support the Superintendent.
• Maintain positive relationships with owners and subcontractors.
• Maintain punch lists, ensure corrective actions, and work toward project close‑out.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent related experience preferred.
• 5–7 years related experience in construction management, general contracting, project management, carpentry, labor, or similar fields.
• Experience leading safety initiatives and creating safety procedures and protocols.
• Experience performing safety inspections.
• Ability to use a computer, the Internet, and email; proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work safely in a construction environment.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes and standards.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Bi‑lingual, Spanish speaking preferred.
