Administrative Assistant

Description

We are looking for a personable and dependable Administrative Assistant to support customer survey activities in Lombard, Illinois. This is a Contract position focused on engaging visitors in retail and other in-person settings, gathering feedback about their experiences, and documenting responses with care. The ideal candidate is confident starting conversations, represents the organization professionally, and is comfortable balancing public interaction with accurate administrative work.

Responsibilities:

- Initiate courteous conversations with shoppers and visitors to invite participation in short customer feedback surveys.

- Conduct face-to-face interviews using approved survey guides and keep each interaction clear, respectful, and efficient.

- Capture participant answers accurately through digital devices or written forms while maintaining organized records.

- Describe the purpose of the survey, address basic questions, and handle personal information in line with privacy expectations.

- Track progress against assigned response targets and stay focused on daily and weekly completion goals.

- Review collected information for accuracy and completeness before submitting or entering survey results.

- Share recurring customer comments, service concerns, and emerging patterns with supervisors for follow-up.

- Represent the brand positively in public settings and maintain a welcoming presence throughout each shift.

- Prepare, organize, and maintain survey tables, kiosks, or related materials as needed for on-site outreach.

- Work closely with team members and leadership to improve participation levels and strengthen data quality.

The salary range for this position is $24/hr to $26/hr . Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

- Experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, front desk support, field outreach, or survey collection is an advantage.

- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build quick rapport with a wide range of people.

- Confidence engaging individuals in public and encouraging participation in a courteous and accurate manner.

- Basic proficiency with tablets, mobile devices, computers, and data entry tasks.

- Careful attention to detail and a commitment to recording information accurately.

- Ability to remain on your feet and move through customer-facing environments for extended periods.
