Assistants will serve as a resource to all special education students enrolled in ESY. Compensation AFSCME positions, please see the AFSCME contract

Dates/TimesIn Service and Meet and Greet:
June 4, 2026
June 8 - July 16, 2026, Monday - Thursday (Staff hours 8:00 - 11:30). No school on July 6th.
Qualifications- Candidates must have a current, valid Illinois Paraprofessional License, substitute license, valid Illinois Teaching Certificate registered in DuPage County
- Knowledge of best practices as it relates to supporting (all) students ability to learn
- Must have appropriate computer software experience; and the ability to operate office equipment, perform some data entry, and maintain records
- Strong communications skills (both oral and written)
- Strong organizational skills
- Must maintain confidentiality with regards to student records
Assist teacher with instructional and classroom management
Physical DemandsThe physical demands are within the industry norm. While performing the job, the employee may be required to sit, stand, walk, lift, talk, see and/or hear, as well as to be able to operate duplicating machines and computer equipment.
