$16.56 per hour for PARA License, $17.66 per hour for SUB+BA License, $18.76 per hour for PEL License

• Hold PARAPROFESSIONAL, SUB/BA OR PEL Licensure for Illinois and registered in county 19(DuPage)
• Prefer experience with special education students.
• Must be able to speak educational instructions in Spanish to students.

• Listening and speaking skills.
• Moving and lifting of materials, supplies, etc.
• Reaching high and low shelving and/or files.
• Visually observing student behavior.

Building principal.

Students as assigned by principal/classroom teacher.

To supervise students and give instructional assistance as directed to enhance the educational program of the district.

• Prepares classroom materials for instruction as directed by teacher.
• Works with individuals or small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher.
• Guides independent study, enrichment work, make-up work and remedial work developed by the teacher.
• Supervises students as assigned by the building principal.
• Performs job-related tasks assigned by the principal.

Conditions of employment:
Work days and compensation based on hourly rate as established by the board of education.

Evaluation:
Performance is evaluated by building principal with teacher input.
