Lunch Supervisor

Lunch Supervisor - 1 1/2 - 2 hours a day Butterfield School, Lombard, IL $15.00 per hour

Qualifications:

• Good rapport with students.
• Ability to organize and manage large groups of children.

Essential Functions:

• Listening and speaking skills.
• Visually observing student behavior.
• Using arm and hand to perform various tasks.
• Maintains physical control of students as needed.

Reports To:

Building principal.

Supervises:
Students participating in school lunch program.

Job Goal:
To supervise students during the noontime to ensure the health and safety of all students.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Monitors student attendance.
• Supervises students in the lunchroom, at the play area or in a classroom.
• Provides appropriate indoor activities when weather is inclement.
• Aids injured or ill students as necessary. Reports information to the office according to building procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness in the lunchroom.
• Assists in cleaning tables and floor for next activity.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned by the principal.

Conditions of Employment:
Works on days of student attendance with compensation based on hourly rate as established by the board of education. Participates in a first aid course as required.

Evaluation:
Performance is evaluated by building principal.
