- Participate in remedial activities at affected facilities, properties, or sites addressing chemical impacts in air, surface water, soil, soil vapor, groundwater, and/or sediment.
- Conducting due diligence, Phase I ESAs or other environmental projects.
- Conduct intrusive site investigations, Phase II ESAs, facility investigations, and remedial investigations of vapor, surface water, soil, groundwater, and/or sediment to determine the presence or absence, nature, and extent of constituents of concern.
- Collect, and interpret data, conduct analyses, and compare findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations.
- Compiling, evaluating, analyzing, and presenting/reporting subsurface investigation data and preparing technical reports.
- Collaborate with other scientific and engineering professionals within the practice.
- Coordinate each project with the project managers as necessary.
- Preparation of health & safety plans, work plans, reports, and other technical documents under supervision.
- Coordination and oversight of subcontractors, including health and safety management.
- Travel may be required for the purpose of field work or training.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Geology
- Professional experience in environmental consulting is preferred but not required
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training preferred
- Strong technical aptitude and technical writing ability
- Ability to prioritize work and make responsible decisions
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and meet strict project deadlines.
- Ability to travel regionally and locally as required for field work and project needs (up to 75%).
- Ability to pass a background security check and drug screen.
- Valid US driver’s license and good driving record.
Demonstrates expertise in conducting environmental assessments, including Phase I and Phase II ESAs, and possesses strong technical writing skills for preparing detailed reports. Capable of analyzing subsurface investigation data while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
