TORQ Coatings is a growing floor coatings company in the Lombard area seeking a hands-on Finance Manager who thrives in building structure, improving systems, and supporting operational growth in a project-based environment.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the financial dynamics of construction or specialty trades and enjoys creating scalable processes that drive profitability, visibility, and long-term growth.

• Lead the monthly close process and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
• Implement and optimize job costing, margin analysis, and project profitability tracking
• Develop KPIs and dashboards to support leadership decision-making
• Strengthen internal controls and build scalable accounting processes
• Evaluate and enhance accounting systems/ERP functionality

• 3–6+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• Experience in construction, specialty trades, manufacturing, or other project-based industries strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with job costing and revenue recognition (percentage of completion is a plus)
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with operational data
• Experience implementing or upgrading accounting systems preferred
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail

• Competitive base salary of $90,000 – $100,000
