Quality Assurance Analyst

Location:
Lombard , IL (Remote with occasional travel)

Client is seeking experienced IT QA Testers to support enterprise-level data, integration, and system testing initiatives. This role requires strong hands-on experience with data validation, system integrations, and migration testing within complex application environments. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting and capable of both manual and automated testing.

• Perform data mapping and data validation testing, including source-to-target reconciliation and field-level accuracy checks.
• Execute integration and migration testing across multiple applications and systems.
• Validate APIs, batch jobs, and file-based integrations (CSV, XML, JSON).
• Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases and automated test scripts as required.
• Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria, proactively identifying gaps, edge cases, and downstream impacts.
• Execute SQL queries to validate backend data and troubleshoot defects.
• Log, track, and manage defects using test management and defect tracking tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, data teams, and other stakeholders.
• Support testing across multiple projects simultaneously in an agile environment.

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
• Strong experience in:
• Data mapping and data validation testing
• Integration and migration testing
• Solid SQL skills for backend and database validation.
• Experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman or similar.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing and exposure to test automation frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think beyond documented test cases.
• Experience working with Jira, qTest, or similar test management tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Experience testing systems in the insurance domain (claims, policy, enrollment, billing).
• Exposure to ETL processes, batch processing, or large-scale data migrations.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Automation experience using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, or equivalent.
