Regional Maintenance Manager
Responsible for ensuring maintenance operations across multiple locations meet state, federal, and company safety and efficiency requirements. Works closely with location, regional, and corporate management teams.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor, evaluate, and take corrective action to improve maintenance performance within the region.
- Examine current operations, develop action plans, and devise strategies to maximize operational efficiencies.
- Act as Maintenance Manager during vacancies and assist in hiring new Maintenance Managers.
- Train and monitor technicians and Maintenance Managers on company requirements.
- Review KPIs and financial reports to identify problems and challenge areas.
- Participate in start‑ups and shutdowns as necessary.
- Assist with compliance regarding environmental programs.
- Conduct annual vehicle audits for all regional locations.
- Monitor completion of maintenance‑related deficiencies reported on corporate audits.
- Provide feedback to General Managers and regional staff on maintenance manager performance.
- Perform other duties and special projects assigned by the Director of Maintenance or the RVP.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
High School Diploma or equivalent required. - Minimum five years proven experience in passenger transportation or comparable service industry maintenance management.
- ASE Master certification and advance technical training.
- Strong knowledge of performance indicators (KPIs), Octave, and financial statements.
- Independent thinking and strong prioritization skills.
- Excellent leadership, customer‑relations, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of HR systems and tools.
- Flexible schedule and commitment to a safety‑focused lifestyle.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day).
- Walk long distances on uneven or sloped surfaces.
- Push, pull, lift materials up to 50 lbs, occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch.
- Operate in heavy traffic environments and tolerate dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
- Competitive compensation: $107,000 – $133,000 annually.
- Vacation: minimum two weeks.
- Sick days: 5 days.
- Holidays: 12 days (8 standard, 4 floating).
