Assembler, Manufacturing ​/ Production

Position Summary:

The Assembler is responsible for the assembling of light duty truck and van equipment.

Essential Job Functions and Duties

• Locate, unbox and assemble various aftermarket, steel and aluminum truck and van equipment; this includes shelving, ladder racks, partitions and other equipment
• Assist the install technicians as needed
• Read and follow basic mechanical instructions and do so in accordance with company standard operating procedures
• Complete other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required;
  Vocational school a plus
• Experience with operating a Forklift preferred
• Candidates must successfully complete criminal background check and submit to a motor vehicle background check

Skills:

• Solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to lift heavy boxes/shelves/racks
• Ability to stand for most of the day
• Use hand tools, cordless tools, cutting tools and pneumatic tools
• Solid background in using basic mechanical skills ensuring solid comfort in using a variety of tools; not limited to saws, drills, utility knives, hand tools
• Comfortable in using tape measure and measuring accurately

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Able to function capably in a production environment; working around moving vehicles, assembly and installation bays
• Frequently lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must be physically capable of standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, leaning, etc. daily
• Ability to work in a loud environment
• Participate in required company safety and training programs and PPE guidelines.
