Plastics Manufacturing Production Supervisor; Bilingual Spanish

Lead Overnight Production at a Best-in-Class Packaging Plant Pretium Packaging is looking for a hands-on leader to guide our production team in St. Charles, Illinois. As our Plastics Manufacturing Production Supervisor, you’ll take ownership of third-shift operations (10:00 pm–6:30 am, occasional weekends), ensuring people, processes, and product quality come together seamlessly. Fluency in Spanish (read, write, speak) is required to support and develop our diverse team.

What Your Night Looks Like Own the shift plan: align staffing, production schedules, and changeovers to hit output and service targets.

Champion safety and GMP: keep the floor organized, audit behaviors, and reinforce safe work practices.

Coach the team: onboard new hires, cross-train operators, and deliver clear, constructive feedback.

Keep lines running: monitor processes, resolve bottlenecks, and escalate issues proactively.

Collaborate across shifts: partner with other supervisors, maintenance, and quality to improve flow and reduce waste.

Evaluate performance: conduct routine check-ins and formal reviews; recognize wins and address gaps.

Continuously improve: stay current on plastics manufacturing best practices to keep us competitive.

What You Bring Fluent Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) to lead, train, and communicate effectively.
2+ years of supervisory experience in plastics; injection and/or blow molding strongly preferred.

Deep familiarity with plastics processing and production equipment.

Confident floor presence and the ability to motivate individuals with varied styles and personalities.

Sharp problem-solving skills and sound judgment during off-hours operations.

Excellent organization and time management; comfortable prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to work the third shift and occasional weekends.

Proficiency with IQMS, Microsoft Office, and related manufacturing software.
