Job Overview

As a residential Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for ongoing facility maintenance and repairs to keep Residences at Lakeside looking its best.

Responsibilities

You will use your experience in property maintenance to address work orders before issues become major problems. You have performed light carpentry, minor electrical or plumbing repairs, and are comfortable working on HVAC systems. You should positively impact people’s lives by proactively addressing routine maintenance and ensuring the general cleanliness of the property, including resident amenities such as the pool and clubhouse.

Your friendly and efficient approach is essential when engaging with residents and maintaining a safe working environment for both the team and residents.

Schedule & Working Conditions
  • Full-time Monday through Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM.
  • Occasional on-call hours as set by the Property Management team.
  • You must maintain your own tool kit and may need to use a company-owned or personal vehicle; a valid driver’s license is required.
  • Travel may be required to procure supplies or service areas.
Benefits

New employees accrue 40 vacation hours in the first year and earn paid sick leave per state requirements. Eligible employees also receive holiday pay (if working) or paid holidays (if scheduled off) for six holidays each year.
* The Company provides at least 40 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year in states with no state mandate.
** To be eligible for holiday pay, employees must have completed 90 days of employment and worked the last scheduled day before and the first day after the holiday.

Qualifications

  • Show attention to detail and notice potential hazards.
  • Familiarity with tools/materials needed for residential building maintenance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Act with respect, dignity, responsibility, and initiative.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; 1+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Preferred:
    Prior experience in general building maintenance or painting in a commercial residential environment, including handyman work, light carpentry, electrical or plumbing.
  • Prior experience maintaining and repairing HVAC systems.
  • At least 18years of age.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Valid driver’s license to operate company‑owned vehicles or use personal vehicle for work.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting or moving items up to 25pounds routinely; occasions up to 50pounds.
  • Use hands, tools, and equipment; adequate vision and stamina.
  • Stand for extended periods, walk, climb stairs and ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in various weather conditions.
  • Occasional driving in business for company‑owned or personal vehicle.
