Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Heavy Diesel Technician – Houston, TX
Seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain engines across various vehicles and equipment. This role requires 80% travel and will serve as a crucial liaison to ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity for our diesel‑powered assets.
Responsibilities- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on diesel engines.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and efficient repairs.
- Complete preventative maintenance (PM), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
- Lead advanced diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and devise repair strategies, including overhauling and rebuilding components to specifications.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines.
- Other duties as required.
- 3‑5 years of experience as a technician.
- Ase certifications required; training program provided.
- CDL preferred.
- Mechanic’s tool set.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits Schedule I drugs.
- Competitive compensation: $35.00 – $42.00 per hour.
- Vacation: minimum two (2) weeks.
- Sick days: 5 days.
- Holidays: 12 days (8 standard, 4 floating).

Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed. Duties include long periods of sitting, typing, and computer use; work inside and outside. Additional travel: 80% required.
