Job Summary
We’re hiring for a Heavy Diesel Technician in Phoenix, AZ.
Transdev Fleet Services is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician in the Phoenix, AZ area to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines across various vehicles and equipment. The position requires 80% travel.
Responsibilities- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on diesel engines.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
- Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
- Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
- Travel 80% of the time.
- Other duties as required.
- 3-5 years of experience as a technician.
- CDL preferred.
- ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
- Mechanic’s tool set.
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
- Competitive compensation package of minimum $35.00 – maximum $42.00 per hour.
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks.
- Sick days: 5 days.
- Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating.

- Company paid ASE testing and training materials.
- Work flexible shifts or schedules as needed.
- Work involves long periods of sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
- Work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Requires 80% travel.
