Role Description This full-time, on-site Service Technician role is based in Lombard or our westmont, IL location. The Service Technician will perform routine and preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems, diagnose issues, and complete repairs to ensure reliable and efficient operation. Responsibilities include responding to service calls, conducting field inspections, documenting work performed, and supporting energy optimization initiatives in client facilities.
The role involves working closely with building managers and operators, providing clear updates, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for occupants. The Service Technician will also follow company and industry safety standards, participate in ongoing training, and support continuous improvement of service quality.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair and Maintenance skills for commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including working on-site at customer facilities and managing service calls.
- Candidates should possess effective Customer Service skills to communicate clearly with clients and build long-term relationships.
- Relevant HVAC certifications or licenses (e.g., EPA 608, journeyperson-level HVAC experience) are beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and building plans.
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to client sites as needed.
- Previous experience with commercial building systems, energy efficiency projects, or facility management is a plus.
