Merchandiser
Essential Job Functions
- Greet customers on the sales floor and assist them in locating merchandise or direct them to the parts specialist.
- Check out customers and handle merchandise returns in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Act as the main shoplifting deterrent/front‑floor security.
- Keep the front area stocked and fronted, stocking merchandise according to planograms or displays, and completing sales preparation.
- Make display changes according to company guidelines, planograms, and other visual merchandising standards.
- Make all out‑front price changes and ensure all "sale" signs are in place.
- Maintain sufficient quantities of sale merchandise on display and remove all sale material when the sale ends, restoring original pricing.
- Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
- Work with the manager to complete the store To‑Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
- Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
- Clock in/out according to company policy.

Compensation Pay Range$17.87 - $24.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Skills,Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities
Required:
- Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
Desired:
- Previous cashier and/or stocking experience.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
