Position: CLERICAL SUBSTITUTE - Office Assistant (and other clerical assignments)

Substitute Clerical - All Clerical Classifications

Substitute employees are paid at Step 1 on the Classified Bargaining Unit Salary Schedule, in the position they are subbing in. For example:
Office Assistant: $19.85 per hour Sr. Office Assistant: $20.33 per hour Staff Secretary: $21.36 per hour We are currently accepting applications for Substitute Clerical positions with the District. Substitute clerical employees provide valuable support to school sites and departments by assisting with a variety of office and administrative functions. Assignments may include receptionist duties, data entry, recordkeeping, customer service, scheduling, and general office support.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS FOR THE OFFICE ASSISTANT CLASSIFICATION In order to be considered for this position, applicants must provide detailed information on their application to demonstrate how they meet the employment standards (Minimum Qualifications for Education and Experience and Licenses and other Requirements) shown below:
Minimum Education and Experience to be considered for substitute clerical work:
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and one year of general clerical experience. Licenses and other Requirements Some positions in this classification may require possession of a valid California Class C driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the District for insurance purposes. Some positions in this classification may require the ability to speak, read and write in a designated second language.

Some positions in this classification may require possession of a valid First Aid and CPR certification issued by an authorized agency within six months of employment.
