Student Success Manager
Kaplan is a global education technology company. The Student Success Manager at Vandenberg Space Force Base Education Center in Lompoc, California will recruit, enroll, and guide students through our undergraduate and graduate programs, ensuring comprehensive support throughout their academic journey.
Primary Responsibilities- Recruit and enroll qualified undergraduate and graduate students through outreach, calls, emails, chats, and video.
- Advise prospective students on career and program interests, aligning with academic and professional goals.
- Assist students through enrollment and program‑specific processes.
- Manage onboarding and provide financial guidance throughout education.
- Offer personalized support and course guidance to enhance student experience.
- Orient students about admissions, catalog requirements, policies, and resources.
- Service a cohort of students, meeting enrollment and retention metrics.
- Collaborate with academic, admissions staff, and faculty to ensure program alignment and compliance with FERPA and other regulations.
- Utilize technology platforms (e.g., student management, CRM, online education tools) to engage and communicate with students.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Psychology, Communications, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience counseling/advising or customer service/sales, managing a large client base.
- At least 2 years experience for each year of formal education required (internal employees only).
- Proficiency in technology for student management: knowledge of online platforms, CRM tools such as Cvue, Salesforce, Campus Logic, Brightspace, Canvas, Slate.
- Proficient with Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Google Apps.
- Ability to advise on academic, institutional policies and financial aid.
- Consultative sales, problem‑solving, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
- Understanding of FERPA regulations.
- Experience analyzing student dashboards and reports to optimize outcomes.
- Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, resilient, compassionate, and able to multitask.

Salary Grade A: $31,200 to $78,647. Compensation determined by qualifications, experience, education, skills, and market data.
