Substitute Teachers Needed
Substitute teachers needed for the Lompoc and Buellton area. Teachers work in partnership with the team teacher to develop weekly lesson plans for preschool children, develop and maintain a safe and positive classroom climate, and intentional learning environment; screen and assess each child using appropriate screening/assessment tools; individualize educational plans for each child based on ongoing developmental assessments. Engage parents of various cultural backgrounds in their child's education.
Hourly rates are between $19.00 - $20.50 depending on how many ECE units you have completed. Position earns sick leave accrual.
Requirements
Teacher I: 12 units in ECE/CD in core course or hold an associate teacher permit or child development associate permit. Obtain and maintain a current child development permit for position held.
Teachers must obtain and maintain a pediatric first aid and CPR card. Experience working with children with disabilities desirable; bilingual preferred. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40lbs.
