Production Supervisor; Engineer

Join our flagship manufacturing plant as a Production Supervisor (Engineer) within the Accelerated Leadership Rotational Program. The role is designed for engineers who want to master the technical and operational heart of our business.

During the initial rotation you will lead and direct the operational activities of a production team. Upon successful completion you will transition to other engineering and leadership functions, such as Process Engineering, Reliability, or Project Management, to develop a comprehensive understanding of our manufacturing lifecycle.

• Phase1:
  Production Leadership (Initial Rotation)
  • Safety Leadership:
    Serve as a visible role model for safety, maintaining a healthy environment per MSHA and EPA regulations, lead daily safety meetings, and conduct workplace inspections.
  • Personnel Management:
    Lead operators and maintenance personnel, provide hands‑on training, support, and performance feedback.
  • Process Monitoring:
    Oversee equipment operating parameters to ensure productivity and quality targets (tons produced, reject quantities, lab specs) for diatomaceous earth and perlite production.
  • Technical Problem Solving:
    Identify and resolve productivity roadblocks, direct shift maintenance for immediate repairs, collaborate with the Maintenance Manager on long‑term reliability strategies.
  • Data‑Driven Decisions:
    Manage accurate computerized data entry for production reports, labor hours, and quality control trends.
  • Incident Management:
    Communicate and investigate accidents, near‑misses, or significant safety concerns.

  Engineering & Strategic Optimization (Future Rotations)
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Implement standards and procedures to support product quality evolution and process efficiency.
  • Project Integration:
    Translate frontline experience into capital project planning and process design.
  • Cross‑Functional
    
    Collaboration:
    
    Partner with the site Engineering Manager to bridge the gap between theoretical design and practical shop‑floor execution.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related technical discipline).
• Strong leadership potential and desire to manage people in a heavy industrial environment.
• Analytical mindset, ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical or chemical processes.
• Excellent communication skills to lead diverse crews and present data to management.

Work Environment:
Boots‑on‑ground manufacturing and mining facility; exposure to outdoor weather, dust, noise, and industrial machinery.

Physical Demands:
Mobility (frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs/ladders); lifting up to 50lbs occasionally.

PPE:
Must wear all required safety gear, including hard hat, steel‑toed boots, safety glasses, and respiratory protection as required by MSHA/EPA.

$85k–$100k plus bonus (base salary based on education and experience).
