Qualified candidates will possess a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the responsibilities of the position. The typical background includes a bachelor's degree in public administration, political science, or a related field, along with five years of progressively responsible management and project management experience. A master's degree is highly desirable. Experience serving in a management role within a California full-service municipality is preferred.
