General Maintenance Worker

Valiant is looking for a General Maintenance Worker to join our team. In this role you are responsible to the assigned LSS LF Refurbishment Team Chief for performance of all tasks/duties required to perform LF Refurbishment and Refurbishment Section associated duties/tasks. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Performs all Launch Facility (LF) Refurbishment associated tasks assigned by the Team Chief including technical tasks, crane operations positions, confined space operations positions, and in-shop work.
• Installs, removes, cleans, and re-installs/replaces LF equipment and hardware IAW applicable procedural directives and/or technical orders (TOs).
• Performs crane/vehicle/equipment/material/supply inventories, inspection, cleaning and periodic maintenance.
• Maintains all required qualifications/certifications IAW the SOW including, but not limited to the following:
• Confined Space Operations
• HAZWOPER
• Information Protection
• Annual Fire Extinguisher Training
• Quarterly Security Training
• LSS Missile Safety
• Explosive Safety (TBD)
• Controlled Area Training
• Technical Data System Familiarization
• Production Inspector/ Corrosion Control Identification
• CPR
• Product Quality Deficiency Reporting
• General Industrial Safety including incident response and reporting.
• Performs all other LSS LF Refurbishment and Corrosion Control tasks as assigned IAW applicable procedures.
• Performs Corrosion Control inspection, preventive maintenance, documentation and treatment to launch facilities, support equipment, and real property-installed equipment IAW the contract SOW and all applicable directives.
• Operates Maintenance Trucks (required), and Boom Truck Cranes, Forklifts, and other heavy equipment as assigned.
• Performs operator care and minor CCT of company owned vehicles, cranes, and vehicular equipment.
• This is a union represented position and membership in the union is required.
• Complies with and enforces Valiant company rules, policies, and process instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance with LSS Special Access Required (SAR) clearance. Active Secret preferred.

• High School Diploma or equivalent military or vocational training preferred.
• Experience in major equipment repair and/or Refurbishment desired. Specific experience in performing and managing USAF ICBM Maintenance preferred.
• Must demonstrate exceptional understanding of mechanical equipment operation as well as painting/abrasive blast equipment operation and maintenance.
• Must possess a valid Class “C” driver’s license (required) or Class “B” driver’s license, as assigned.

Must maintain excellent physical condition including the ability to lift 50lbs unassisted. Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
