Mechanical Launch Mechanic | Lockheed Martin

Operate basic shop equipment used for forming and bending metal and assist in the operation of optical and other precision measuring devices. Ability to work at various heights on gantries, service towers, high lifts, etc; to work in confined areas. Maintain certification in propellant protective equipment, (i.e. SCAPE). Possess a working knowledge of basic mechanical and electro-mechanical systems and possess a knowledge of basic shop theory and practices, including safety regulations, necessary to prepare vehicle and AGE mechanical and electro-mechanical systems and equipment for test launch purposes.

Possess a knowledge of working characteristics of materials used in vehicle manufacture and propulsion. Ability to obtain and maintain a Top secret security clearance.
