Administrative Assistant

What can you expect in this role?

The Administrative Assistant will be part of the Definity legal department and will be responsible for:

  • Data entry and file migration.
  • Performing various other administrative duties as required.
  • Working within ACL.
  • Working with Team Connect.
  • Working within a paperless environment.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant.
  • Knowledge of insurance litigation and/or coverage matters an asset.
  • Knowledge of ACL an asset.
  • Knowledge of Team Connect an asset.
  • Strong document management skills with the ability to learn and utilize Definity’s various software programs such as ACL and Team Connect.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Outlook and all MS Office applications.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and execute tasks in a quality manner with strong turnaround time.
  • High degree of personal ethics, integrity, and responsibility with an ability to deal with sensitive issues and safeguard privileged and confidential information.
  • Great attention to detail with proof reading skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple, yet sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Team player, adaptable to a changing environment.
  • Ability to work in a paperless environment.

High degree of proficiency with English required to service customers, both internal to the company and external, across Canada.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $82,100

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
