- Salary: $65,000 to $70,000 depending on experience
- Location:
London or Acton, ON (Remote with regular scheduled in-office attendance at either facility) - Schedule:
Monday to Friday (8:30am – 5:00pm), 40 hours per week - Reports to:

The Job
This position is ideal for someone with a strong operations background, who will take ownership of carrier relationships, including recruiting carriers, negotiating rates, resolving operational challenges, and protecting margins. You will coordinate customers’ logistics needs across the supply chain, providing exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders. Experience in cross-border transportation and an asset-based background is considered a plus for supporting these relationships.
What your job duties may include:
- Source, qualify, and negotiate with carriers across truckload, LTL, and intermodal modes to secure reliable, cost-effective capacity
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners, ensuring service quality and compliance
- Onboard new carriers in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration of people, processes, and systems.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and trucking partners to offer competitive rates to customers
- Monitor freight market trends and provide insights to optimize procurement strategies
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to align carrier procurement with customer requirements
- Maintain accurate carrier data, rate agreements, and compliance documentation
- Support issue resolution, claims, and escalations in partnership with operations
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service and reduce costs
- Assist with day-to-day operations, including managing customer orders, tracking shipments, and supporting issue resolution as needed.
- Participate in the company Quality Management System, following, identifying and implementing improvements in processes and procedures.
- Process orders, select carriers, negotiate rates, and issue the necessary documentation.
- Other duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience with Transportation Dispatch and Customer Service is preferred.
- Previous Experience with ACE/ACI and Border Crossing requirements is an asset.
- Negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Business level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues through professionalism, credibility, and integrity.
- Strong team player who effectively prioritizes tasks, manages competing demands, and performs successfully in deadline-driven environments.
- Intermediate to Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Proficiency in French, both written and spoken, would be considered a strong asset.
