Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist who is ready to join our growing and diverse team in our Waterloo office.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of purchase orders for goods and services
  • Review purchase orders prepared by others for compliance with Procurement Guidelines
  • Accurately enter data
  • Make revisions and closeout of purchase orders
  • Liaise with suppliers and project managers regarding purchase orders and delivery
  • Work closely with the projects team to understand details of procurement requirements
  • Assist with vendor onboarding and prequalification
  • Work with Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices
  • Assist with completing credit applications for new Vendors
  • Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Assist with Sustainable Procurement reporting and analysis
  • Engage and discuss Environmental, Sustainable and Governance (ESG) with vendors (Sustainable Procurement Vendor Management)
  • Maintain Procurement files
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years' experience in Administration or Procurement
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Outstanding communication skills and rapport building
  • Strong understanding of contractual agreements
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
  • Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset
  • Experience with BST
    10 cost accounting software application is a plus
Salary Range

The salary range for this position is: $$43,500 - $72-500 per year. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for GHD locations in its major city centres. Ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At GHD, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
