As our Financial Services Representative, you will be joining a team of highly engaged financial service professionals who are dedicated to providing an exceptional Member Experience. In this role, your primary responsibilities are to understand the financial needs of our Members and provide appropriate advice and recommendations. This includes completing front‑line transactional services to support our Members’ day‑to‑day banking and fulfilling advisory sales roles such as opening new accounts, offering credit, deposits, identifying opportunities for wealth referrals, and positioning Meridian’s products and services to add value to our Members’ overall financial well‑being.

You will be proactive in engaging in revenue‑generating and sales‑based activities, fostering and deepening Member relationships, and referring business to other channels. You will also serve as a frontline partner aligning financial strategies with internal business partners to deliver member‑centric products and solutions.

- Works with the Branch leadership, to champion and implement corporate strategies and programs for the branch.
- Ensures proper due diligence by posting all transactions accurately and timely.
- Takes responsibility to ensure accuracy and completeness of all work.
- Maintains discretion and confidentiality to respect Members privacy.
- Identifies and fulfills Member requests and opportunities to grow the relationship.
- Demonstrates excellent listening and strong consultative skills.
- Embraces virtual technology platforms and leverages them to host meetings and engage in impactful communication with Members.
- Removes systemic barriers to exceptional Member Experience.
- Identifies and contributes to the continuous enhancement of the Member Experience while leveraging Voice of Employee.
- With autonomy to resolve Member Concerns- look to create action plans to avoid escalation in the future.
- Engages in revenue generation and sales-based activities in order to achieve performance objectives.
- Provides investment advice by identifying and promoting solutions that fit and meet our Member needs.
- Within approval limits approves or provides recommendations on credit products based on thorough, accurate and appropriate credit interviewing and underwriting skills.
- Opens new Member accounts using account opening strategies.
- Establishing a compelling vision and executes on strategy.

- Working with the Branch leadership, execute Retail strategies to ensure continued momentum across Meridian including Omni Channel integration.
- Works with the Branch leadership, to champion and implement corporate strategies and programs for the branch.
- Participate and execute with the team our Community engagement plan.
- Promote Meridian Credit Union in your community by participating in and being involved in community activities or events while demonstrating the Company Values.
- Support local community organizations and activities through Business Development and Good Neighbour Program. Planning, preparation and delivery of Meridian hosted Community events.
