Student Financial Analyst Internship

Location: Southwestern Ontario

Explore your financial career as a Student Financial Analyst for Sun Life in Waterloo. This internship focuses on tax reporting and financial statement preparation for Segregated Funds.

This four-month co-op position is designed for students graduating post-April 2027. You will support the Segregated Funds' Financial Management team by preparing year-end tax forms and detailed IFRS financial statements. This role also provides insight into corporate financial reporting and the effectiveness of financial controls, ensuring you gain critical skills for your future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing tax forms for various funds

• Create IFRS-compliant financial statements

• Compile audit working papers for financial audits

• Support quarterly reporting with accurate reconciliations

• Identify and propose improvements for reporting controls

Requirements:

• At least 2 years in a business degree program

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Analytical and detail-oriented mindset

• Self-driven with adaptability in tasks

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
