VIP Auto Pro is a group of four established auto repair shops in London, Ontario
. We’re looking for a Service Manager to lead one of our locations — someone who understands automotive service and thinks like a business leader.
This role is not just about running the shop day-to-day.
It’s about growing it
.
You have strong experience in the automotive repair industry — as a technician, service advisor, or manager — but you’ve learned that technical skill alone doesn’t build a great shop
.
- Great customer service and strong sales go hand-in-hand
- Leaders coach, set expectations, and hold people accountable
- Numbers matter because they tell the truth
- Long-term customer relationships are built through trust and communication
If you’re energized by people, performance, and progress
, this role will feel like a step forward.
As Service Manager, you are the leader of the business
, not the head technician.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and developing a team of technicians and service advisors
- Creating a sales-driven, customer-first culture
- Using KPIs to improve performance, not assign blame
- Turning strong car count into strong revenue and retention
- Ensuring smooth daily operations, workflow, and scheduling
- Coach and develop staff with clear expectations and accountability
- Build a positive, professional shop environment
- Address performance issues directly and constructively
- Drive revenue growth through value-based selling
, not pressure - Coach advisors on inspections, recommendations, and customer communication
- Monitor and improve KPIs such as average invoice, car count, deferred work, ect.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and quality
- Manage workflow, capacity, and scheduling
- Support customer escalations and ensure a consistently strong experience
- 5+ years in the automotive repair industry
- Prior leadership or management experience
- Strong understanding of automotive service workflows
- Confident communicator with customers and staff
- Comfortable with goals, numbers, and performance tracking
- Experience with Protractor Software would be considered an asset
You have a business and sales mindset
, not just a technical one.
This role may not be a fit if you:
- Prefer working on cars more than working with people
- Avoid sales conversations or performance metrics
- Want to maintain the status quo rather than improve it
- Competitive salary with performance-based incentives
- A stable, growing organization with multiple locations
- Supportive ownership and established systems
- Real autonomy and room to make an impact
- Long-term growth opportunities within VIP Auto Pro
If you’re ready to lead, grow, and take ownership of a shop — not just manage one — we’d like to hear from you.
