Join Friends of Mount Sima Society as a Mechanic in Whitehorse, Yukon, focusing on the maintenance and repair of resort vehicles and equipment. Ensure safety and operational efficiency across multiple seasons.

As a full-time Mechanic/Maintenance Person, you will report to the Operations Manager and play a vital role in maintaining a variety of machinery including snowcats and pickup trucks. Your expertise in troubleshooting and repairs is crucial for safe mountain operations year-round, from winter skiing to summer biking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair grooming equipment and vehicles

• Diagnose issues with hydraulic and engine systems

• Complete routine inspections and maintenance logs

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns

• Conduct safety checks on equipment and buildings

Requirements:

• Experience with diesel and gasoline-powered equipment

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

• Strong commitment to safety practices

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varied outdoor conditions
