Industrial Mechanic​/Millwright - Food Manufacturing

Maple Leaf Foods is seeking an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright in Port Perry to enhance equipment safety and production efficiency. Benefits include a competitive hourly rate and overtime opportunities.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on production equipment. Your proficiency in welding (TIG and arc), along with effective communication skills, will be crucial. You’ll also maintain compliance with all regulatory guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete preventative maintenance and emergency repairs

• Set up and inspect equipment during operations

• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities

• Operate all power truck equipment safely

• Follow Food Safety and Health & Safety guidelines

Requirements:

• Current Certificate for an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Physically fit to handle heavy lifting

• Ability to work in a variable temperature environment

• Prior experience in a food manufacturing setting is an asset
