Carpenter Position at Nova Scotia Health

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, this role requires a Journeyperson Certificate in Carpentry. You’ll tackle repairs from walls to flooring and ensure compliance with building and health codes. Experience in a related construction role is essential to successfully manage tasks like renovations and hoarding controls for infection prevention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete repairs and alterations to various building structures

• Perform in-house renovations adhering to relevant codes

• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control measures

• Maintain high standards of safety and quality in work

• Collaborate with management on project completion

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent education

• Journeyperson Certificate issued by Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency

• Minimum two years related construction experience

• Ability to lift over 40 lbs

• Reliable transportation between sites
