Architect : Lecturer; Landscape Architecture

Joining the Manchester School of Architecture as a Lecturer on our Master of Landscape Architecture programme, you will contribute to unit leadership, design studio teaching, as well as other areas of the curriculum (history and theory and/or landscape technologies). The role will also include planning unit delivery, liaising with colleagues from other courses and disciplines. You may also be required to provide support and mentoring to individual students.

Applications from candidates with practice and teaching experience are welcomed. Chartered membership (or practitioners on the Pathway to Chartership) of the Landscape Institute (or international equivalent) is also desirable. We invite applications from candidates with a research interest or specialisation in any relevant area, but one of the following would be advantageous:

• Planting design
• Embedding sustainability in landscape architecture practices
• Creative design processes

Evidence of engagement in research and/or a PhD qualification is desirable. Eligible candidates may also be able to join the Architecture Research Hub and contribute to the rich and multidisciplinary research culture of the School of Art Research Centre.

You will have strong interpersonal and communication qualities, excellent organisational and administrative skills, and a collaborative approach to working that is essential to the role. You will demonstrate a commitment to an excellent student experience using relevant and inspiring learning and teaching.
