Somerset Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Cosmetology Instructor at the Somerset Community College Laurel Campus location.
Job DutiesResponsibilities include instruction in cosmetology courses, student advising, internal and external service, and professional development. The successful candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the theory related to delivering cosmetology services. Primary assignment and standard working hours will be Monday through Friday evenings, but may include weekend and/or off-campus courses.
Minimum QualificationsMust have a current cosmetology instructor's license issued by the Kentucky State Board of Cosmetology.
Preferred QualificationsAssociate's degree completed or in progress from a regionally accredited college or university. Five years of work related experience as a licensed cosmetology instructor within the past five years. Must have a current cosmetology instructor's license issued by the Kentucky State Board of Cosmetology. Experience using Blackboard or a similar learning management system as a delivery method for classes.
