About

The Role

COT Southern Field Services is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to join our team in the London, KY area. This role provides both remote and in‑person technical support to agency users, making strong communication and customer service skills just as important as technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands‑on and remote desktop support to end users
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software in a Windows‑based environment
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting
  • Document issues, resolutions, and follow‑up actions
  • Maintain and track equipment as needed
  • Support users professionally and effectively, ensuring a positive service experience
  • Lift and carry heavy equipment and work in physically demanding positions when required
  • Travel locally as needed to support field operations
Required Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of desktop support experience (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and common desktop applications
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in uncomfortable positions for extended periods
Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting government or enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
