London, KY 40741 - $13.50 - $15.00 / hour - full time

Summary of Job

A Security Guard provides the base element of security services, performing general duties and responsibilities such as providing security services to a variety of clients including federal government, manufacturing, distribution, schools, colleges, religious institutions, retail sites, and any other fixed or temporary location as needed.

• Protect property and lives
• Monitor entrance/egress of property
• Identify visitors and verify appropriate documentation
• Guard against theft and maintain security
• Respond to alarms and calls of distress
• Complete accurate daily and incident reports
• Prevent passage of prohibited vehicles into restricted areas
• Prevent access to unauthorized persons
• Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use
• Regulate and monitor building systems
• Inspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and working
• Complete all required security logs
• Communicate effectively with client management, employees, and visitors

• Must have a High School diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Maintain professionalism and ability to wear a uniform neatly and correctly
• Provide excellent customer service verbally and in writing
• Be alert and able to appropriately deal with escalated and crisis situations
• Multi‑tasking ability
• Operate a computer and other security devices
• Obtain required training and licensures, depending on client and state
