Substitute Teacher

Position Overview

This is a SUBSTITUTE Teacher position within London City School District. This is not a full-time role. You will select substitute assignments posted on the Frontline absent management system. You will be notified of upcoming substitute interviews after your application is reviewed. You will need to obtain current background checks unless you have completed them within the calendar year.

• Select substitute teaching assignments posted on the Frontline system.

• BCI/FBI Background Check Information:
  London City Schools requires all employees, substitutes, coaches and volunteers to have a background check completed and on file before working with students. Obtain a background check through BCI&I located at 1560 State Route 56, London, OH. They cost $47.25. BCI hours are 8:00am–4:00pm. They accept debit cards, personal checks, or money orders. Ensure copies are sent to the Ohio Department of Education if applicable and one copy mailed to the school:

• Reason codes for background checks are outlined on the attached list.
• ODE License Requirement:
  All teacher and paraprofessional substitutes are required to have a license through the Ohio Department of Education (ODE). London City Schools IRN number is 044255. Refer to the linked pages for substitute licenses and educational aide permits:
