What You’ll Do

  • Works under general direction and requires considerable knowledge of teacher education
  • Provides instruction in graphic arts and individual assistance
  • Assesses educational needs of inmate
  • Develops lesson plans to address those needs to include individual assignments and training
  • Provides instruction and individual assistance
  • Administers, scores, and interprets examinations and proficiency indicators
  • Maintains discipline and/or security
  • Counsels’ students concerning their performance, behavior and/or personal problems.
  • Attends meetings as required
  • Prepares required records and re-ports (e.g., enrollment, grades, student progress)
  • Inventories and orders supplies and materials needed
  • Researches, selects, and recommends new teaching materials.
  • Attends in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Must meet eligibility requirements for Teacher Certificate/License appropriate for career-tech - graphic arts & grade level as assigned*;
Teacher 1, 71471, must also have baccalaureate degree or less per OEA agreement;

NOTE:

Applicant must successfully obtain Teacher Certificate or License prior to employment.
