The Sinclair Automation & Control Technology is currently seeking part-time (adjunct) faculty to teach face-to-face courses in the Fall of 2026. This position is responsible for face-to-face instruction in the Industrial Maintenance short-term certificate at our partner correctional institution:
- London Correctional – London, Ohio
The starting pay for Adjunct Faculty is $1,046 per credit hour assigned to teach.
This position is open only to applicants who residein Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky, or who are able to perform work within one of these states. Sinclair Community College restricts part-time employment to approved states due to employment, tax, and benefits compliance requirements.

- Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department
- Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning
- Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies
- Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, use available instructional technology when appropriate
- Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student’s needs
- Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success
- Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
- Maintain accurate records of student progress
- Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines
- Maintain confidentiality of student information
- Adjunct Faculty cannot be assigned to teach more than the maximum of 12 credit hours per semester
- Minimum of an associate’s degree in electronics engineering,electronics engineering technology, a related area, OR must meetthe specific requirements associated with Tested Experience.
- Tested Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of a high school diploma required AND
- Five years of experience in a field specifically related to thecourse to be taught or an active journeyman’s card
- Evidence of successful prior teaching experience preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies shown to help students succeed at the courseand program level
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work successfully in a community college environment
- Ability to teach courses in robotics and/or controls is preferred
- Demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology,including multimedia-based instruction
- Industry experience is preferred
