Design Engineer II
Location:
Columbus, OH area
Global Automotive Parts Company is looking for Design Engineer to join their team.

Ensuring customer satisfaction by:
- Executing robust design and development of exterior automotive lighting products from initial concept to production.
- Ensuring Regulatory requirements are met through feasibility studies
- Performing DFMEA/DRBFM/FTA design reviews.
- Identifying, investigating, and resolving design issues
- Investigating and developing new technologies that can be applied to product design.
- Creating 2D/3D component/assembly drawings and BOMs.
- Confirming design through mock-up and tooling trials
- Ensuring design compliance with ISO 9001/14001 & IATF 16949 requirements.

- 4 yr degree, B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree/experience
- 3 – 5 years’ CAD experience CATIA V5 or V6
- Familiar with FMVSS 108 and other global lighting regulations
- 2+ Years’ experience designing plastic injection molded parts
- Experience with automotive design
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
